Phelps at 8 golds! and other stuff

Incredible
Olympics this year. MICHAEL PHELPS GOT 8 GOLD
MEDALS!!
All his event he got gold. incredible no? He's like super fast! In his last event, the 400m medley relay, he was the third swimmer. The second swimmer, the breast stroke, the us guy got 3rd, and when it came to phelps, he was still third. but in the last 50m of his swim he shot up from 3rd to 1st!
Another thing, Canada's Ryan Cochrane got bronze in the 1500m freestyle! and that's not all, overall canada's got 4 medals! 1 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze, total medal count in the 25th place. So canada's not so bad after all...
of course sing has no medals yet, but their going for silver or gold in women's team table tennis tonight at 7.30, a guaranteed medal it'll be.
even though i'm kind sick now, been watching the olympics, it's real cool, and picking up lots of names!
oh, and did I mention how proud i am of my juniors in ndp?
and for the band farewell, we're doing a pot luck, and we're, as in the flutes, are doing chicken wings. i dunno bout the rest, but the clar are being really great about this. SAXR says they'll do drinks, spaghetti, haris, and jelly, forgot which junior. so it'll maybe do real well thanks to our dear good 'ol clarinets!
